Neil Sroka is a husband, father, a member of the Rotary Club of Grosse Pointe and an active volunteer in Welcoming Everyone Grosse Pointe (WeGP).
Professionally, Neil is the Communications Director of Democracy for America, a grassroots political organization with 1 million members nationwide. At DFA, Neil serves as the group’s primary spokesperson and has managed independent expenditure campaigns across the country.
Prior to joining DFA, Neil worked on congressional and presidential campaigns and served as the Director of New Media at the U.S. Department of Commerce. At Commerce, Neil managed the development of one of the Federal Government’s first departmental policies on social media use and relaunched the Commerce.gov website without additional taxpayer funding.
A George Washington University graduate and former student at Pembroke College, Oxford, Neil and his wife, Christine Jacobs, got married at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church in 2014. They relocated to the Pointes from Washington, DC in 2015, bought their house in 2016, and are now raising their two-year-old daughter, Frances, a few blocks from where Christine grew up.
